Empower your stakeholders

Abstract

Some of your most important stakeholders are the budget holders that sign off the costs of content purchasing.
These budget holders rely on you, as an information manager, to inform and support their understanding of value and return-on-investment.
This is the most compelling and powerful role you can play, and to fulfil it you need to:
- understand their business - their objectives, the need for information, the value of specific products
- engage them with compelling and meaningful messaging.
Your reward is the reinforcement of your credentials and the building of a strong rapport with them.
This is one of the themes we’ll be discussing at our next Community session: “Pivoting to meet the GenAI challenge” (13th December). Sarah Fahy, Global Head of Allen & Overy Research & Library, will lead a discussion around the practical steps she is taking to advocate for her team to support the roll out of Generative AI technologies. Register now.
Regarding content portfolio needs analysis, I urge you to check out our just-published Webinar and Report. Couranto’s Nick Collison shares his decades of experience getting to grips with what your users need to know, and how this provides an opportunity for a more critical evaluation of users’ requirements. Watch or read now.
Moving the conversation beyond specific products is a critical step in establishing your credentials as a trusted advisor to the business.
Finally, I’m available for a 30-minute conversation about the value of a Jinfo Subscription and Jinfo Consulting.
