Jinfo Article
10th July 2013
Abstract
Recent reports from Gartner and the Ponemon Institute have highlighted some of the non-technological issues surrounding the move to cloud-based services – including regulatory compliance, data protection and corporate privacy standards. Current work by the European Commission and Parliament add contract and procurement issues to the mix – and the fact that major players such as Oracle, Microsoft, SalesForce and FICO continue to develop and collaborate on cloud-based services adds urgency to the need to take a holistic approach to the cloud.
