Emerging markets is a central theme at this year's SLA annual conference, both in terms of sessions and exhibitors. Data on China is particularly noticeable. Two Chinese companies exhibiting for the first time are the China Data Center (http://chinadatacenter.org/) and Wanfang Data (http://www.wanfangdata.com/). Established data providers are getting in on the act too. VIP has learned that Bureau van Dijk Electronic Publishing (http://www.bvdep.com/) is to launch QIN, a new database that it describes as a 'Chinese FAME.' Watch out for an update in VIP.
