Each year American Banker and Financial Insights, a research company owned by IDC produces the FinTech 100 Rankings. At the same time they nominate the top 25 enterprise companies in FinTech.
This year a number of information vendors are again included in the Rankings and each has moved up the table from last year’s position. With this year’s position shown in bold and last year’s in brackets the companies are:
- Experian Group 14 (27)
- Equifax 16 (24)
- ChoicePoint 17 (25)
- Fair Isaac 19 (23)
- Wolters Kluwer Financial Services 37 (41)
- Moody’s KMV 53 (59)
- Interactive Data Corporation 58 (60)
These companies are the top vertical technology vendors that derive more than one third of their revenue from sales to financial services’ companies worldwide.
The Top 25 Enterprise Companies in FinTech are calculated differently. The companies in this list are the top 25 horizontal technology vendors that sell to this and to other industries, but the rankings are based on sales to the financial services’ industry only.
One information vendor, Thomson Reuters, makes it to this year’s list. The rankings are accompanied by a special report that contains features on and analyses of vendors who have significantly changed strategic direction in the course of the year.
