Ebook Research - Licensing Considerations in Enterprise Settings

A recently completed FreePint survey on the use of ebooks in the enterprise shows that pricing for ebooks is an important factor, but not as important as other factors. The survey indicates that across all sectors, the selection of content relevant to the enterprise activity remains the most important factor. While cost per use is an important metric, flexible licensing that enables access to just the right content is even more critical. Helen Josephine examines the variety of licensing options on offer, and why an organisation might choose one over another.

Becoming More Productive with Office 365

It probably won't comes as much of surprise to many people that we're not as productive as we could be. Emails, phone calls, questions from colleagues and meetings mean the time that we can actually spend working is becoming less and less. In light of this many vendors are looking at how they can facilitate better productivity by providing enhancement to existing tools. The latest company to do so is Microsoft, which has developed a number of enhancements of Office 365, which would seem to enrich the experience and help make users more productive.

Rather than be constrained by the limitations of the PowerPoint software package there are many other tools from Prezi to Powtoon and Animoto that are freely available on the internet. These not only allow you to produce more interesting and visually exciting presentations whether in slide, video or timeline format, they can help you overcome the slide/bullet point approach which is becoming more hackneyed by the day.
