Abstract

Jinfo research shows that AI is already being used across a wide range of information-management activities. But most current use is still concentrated on individual tasks rather than connected workflows or end-to-end processes.

The opportunity is therefore not simply to identify more AI use cases. It is to:

  • understand where AI is already useful
  • extend proven tasks carefully into adjacent steps
  • prioritise recurring work where value can accumulate
  • recognise that access, licensing and governance often determine what is feasible.
In this report, we explore these four areas and provide a practical approach to identifying, developing and prioritising AI use cases in information management.

Contents:
  • Executive summary and actions
  • Introduction
    1. Where AI is used in information management today
    2. Move from AI tasks to workflows
    3. Prioritise the right use cases
    4. Make feasibility part of use-case design
  • Conclusion.
