Our recent Community session explored news content licensing and AI, with special guest James Mann of the Financial Times (FT).
James shared with us:
- invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities posed by AI in news production and licensing
- underscored the importance of transparency and collaboration
- discussed how licensing models can better support diverse use-cases while navigating copyright intricacies.
You can catch up with his many insights by reading our article "The impact of AI on news content, with the FT", or see the highlights in our recorded Webinar.
This month's session, "Clinic on contracting for AI", features Jeff Monassebian, a leading Tech/IP attorney, who will answer your questions and provide his perspectives on how vendors are licensing their products for AI. You'll need to register quickly.
As AI becomes table stakes, information managers should lean in, to support their organisation's efforts to use AI effectively:
- Intelligent data integration is reshaping the landscape. Read our article "How should information managers respond to Perplexity's recent announcement?" about one notable development (Perplexity's Select Channel Partner Program) with practical steps to prepare.
- AI governance is how information managers uniquely provide strategic support to organisations. See our new reports "How are Information Managers Getting Involved with AI?" and "Augmenting your documentation to mitigate the risks of using AI".
Are you a freelancer and information product expert? If so, then contact us, because we’re looking for people to review product developments (especially in AI) and engage content vendors and buyers.
And finally, our research into end-user training has produced an initial report "End-user training in the pharma and biosciences sectors". This describes the challenges and trends, and provides actionable recommendations to enhance your organisation’s training programmes.
We're now extending the scope of the research, to include end-user training in all sectors. Please contribute to the survey, which will take less than 5 minutes. You’ll receive a copy of the confidential collated results.
