One of the strongest indicators we've seen to date that the worst of the economic pain might be in the past is a highlighted result of FreePint Research: Survey on News Needs & Preferences, published in November 2010. Survey respondents indicated that the cost of their premium news resources is the third most important features they consider when acquiring content... but the importance of cost has dropped from the clear No. 1 spot in 2009. In a recent webinar, I reviewed highlighted results of the research. Here's a recorded version:
