We're in the midst of my favourite research project - on current awareness - and if you haven't yet done so, there's still time to participate:

Consider taking 15 minutes to complete Jinfo's survey on current awareness provision.

Your input is anonymous, but if you provide an email address at the end, you'll receive the summary results when published later this month.

Early results to date offer a fascinating view into what's changed (hint: a lot!) since Jinfo started collecting similar data on news resources over 10 years ago.

Over the years we've conducted this research, we've expanded and shifted the focus to reflect changes in products, technologies, user preferences and organisational requirements.

This year, you'll find analysis of the following:

  • Longevity of current awareness systems
  • Tasks information teams perform today with news and current awareness tools
  • The mix of premium and non-cost sources in today's current awareness, and what information managers think of them
  • The increasing role of technology platforms, and how they affect ROI of current awareness investment
  • Unmet needs for current awareness provision.

The survey closes soon, so share your opinions and have your say:
