Abstract

Find out what our reviewer thought of LexisNexis TraceIQ, an online tracing and investigation tool used for fraud detection and prevention.

Item

Fraud can affect anyone, in any part of society.

The effects are so widespread that organisations, especially financial and insurance companies, need a tool they can rely on to get the information needed on fraudsters - quickly and efficiently.

LexisNexis TraceIQ is a market-leading online tool which allows you to trace fraudulent consumers and understand their identities. It can also track those who have skipped debts, and even unite customers with orphaned assets.

With LexisNexis having released a new version of TraceIQ this July, Jinfo wanted to provide this mini review of the product, which is currently in public beta form.

Finding the fraudsters

The LexisNexis TraceIQ tool uses the latest web-based technologies and allows customers to build a picture of who they are investigating. It can be specifically used for:

  • Tracing debtors
  • Background checks on people
  • Fraud investigation
  • Tracing telephone numbers.

Using LexisNexis TraceIQ means information can be quickly found in one solution, saving time and money and increasing productivity.

The bigger picture

The LexisNexis TraceIQ tool forms part of RELX Group-owned LexisNexis Risk Solutions, a division which "delivers a range of products and services to help facilitate safer financial transactions".

The division offers many other products and services which are covered in the Jinfo mini review.

The largest user group of LexisNexis TraceIQ is insurance company fraud investigations, but it's also used by financial services firms and media organisations.
