Description

Information teams are often faced with users and the C-suite asking such questions as:

  • Why do we pay for news resources when so much is available for free?
  • What value does the information team add to the the news-gathering and -distribution process?

These questions point to the gap between the perception that news is ubiquitous, easy and interchangeable and the reality that relevant and valid news is hard to identify, sort, filter and distribute for maximum efficiency.

This Community session will provide an environment to discuss how to close this gap. We'll discuss the challenges of putting together high quality current awareness information and how to demonstrate to stakeholders the effort involved and what a bespoke, curated service, offers beyond free alerting and news services.

We'll look at the three legs of sources, technology and value and how each contributes to a high quality current awareness service and how this contributes to the organisation's business goals.

Analyst Rebecca Brizi will lead what is sure to be a dynamic and valuable discussion.

This Community session is open to any organisation with a Jinfo Subscription. When your registration is approved, you will receive details to join the teleconference.
