Even China is developing a credible data protection regime, the European Union has concerns about the Safe Harbour agreement in the wake of the United States PRISM scandal, and the Economist Intelligence Unit reports that marketers are underestimating customers' privacy concerns. So could Gartner's suggested Bank Of Information finally unlock the discipline of infonomics and put a measurable value on information management of all kinds?

One of the benefits is that law firms are usually full of very intelligent individuals who are committed to advancing their understanding of law and how it affects their clients. There are also large numbers of support staff who provide invaluable support to these lawyers. Together these individuals have a wealth of knowledge and experience that they're just waiting to share with their colleagues. Or they would be if it wasn't for the numerous barriers that exist within law firms that disrupt knowledge sharing.
