Abstract

TRG Screen’s Quest is a request and workflow management system that lets you handle research and information needs across the firm on one simple platform. The Quest product was launched in 2015 and TRG Screen went on to acquire Priory Solutions in 2016. Some of its other products include FITS and INFOmatch, ResearchMonitor, DART and XMon.

This review:

  • Introduces the company and product and follows its evolution 
  • Finds out about the product’s users, particularly libraries, market data and information professionals
  • Highlights product changes introduced since our mini review in 2017, with a specific focus on its most recent upgrade, version 18 in July 2020
  • Looks at how content in the system can be generated, including via email, SMS, intranet forms, manual data input and Office documents. We also look at how it uses workstreams
  • Finds out about the many ways that time can be managed within the system
  • Focuses on the product’s dashboard and its three main sections and how requests are dealt with
  • Explore its fast and effective search capability and how statistics can be used within the product
  • Examines its output features, in particular its reports and the many ways these can be manipulated
  • Finds out how an administrator can configure the system, in particular, four aspects including people, display, notifications and the system itself. It also touches on how administrators can create and modify roles
  • Explores the help and training available
  • Provides a general overview of the competitor landscape, which includes Altarama’s RefTracker, Zendesk and KnowAll Matrix from Bailey Solutions
  • Looks at future product developments, including its further integration with other vendor systems and improving business rules
  • Concludes with a look at the pricing options available.
