Training end users in AI – from policy to practice
Jinfo Report
14th May 2026
Abstract
This report presents insights from Jinfo’s research into how organisations are approaching the challenge of training end users in AI and compliance.
It highlights how information teams are adapting their roles in response to new risks and opportunities to help end users comply with licensing restrictions when using AI.
As AI has become embedded in everyday workflows, the report examines emerging approaches to user training, governance, and information literacy. It includes eight actions for information managers.
The findings point to a growing need to move from policy-led training to workflow-based guidance, and to strengthen collaboration across IT, legal, training and information teams.
