Abstract

FreePint's 2015 research into the UK legal market's purchasing preferences and needs surveyed law librarians and partners from some of the UK's top 200 firms through a questionnaire and supplemented by structured interviews. The report focuses on the four main products used by professionals in this sector: Westlaw UK and Practical Law from Thomson Reuters, and LexisLibrary and Lexis PSL from LexisNexis.

The report analyses the findings, from influence of information professionals over decision-making in the purchase of legal online services to this year's budget levels. We also examine perceptions around the core products in terms of content quality and integration into workflow, for example. Key purchase drivers and other factors affecting purchases are also detailed.
