EBSCO acquires Minerva, the Austrian subscription

EBSCO Information Services in Berlin http://www.ebsco.com has acquired Minerva subscription agency http://www.minerva.at from Springer-Verlag, a subsidiary of Springer Science and Business Media http://www/springer-sbm.com. The company, whose full name is Minerva Wissenschaftliche Buchhandlung GmbH, provides serials and monograph management and is, according to the press release http://digbig.com/4xaet, a leading subscription agency in Austria and Hungary. Springer has sold the company as part of its streamlining of core activities to concentrate on publishing. For the moment EBSCO does not plan to make any changes to the Minerva business in Vienna so existing customers will continue their current relationships http://digbig.com/4xaew.About this article
