SLA Europe http://www.sla-europe.org has presented its award to Dennie Heye an information scientist at Shell International Exploration and Production (SIEP) information management services http://digbig.com/4xafr. Dennie receives the Award for his work in the information professional community as well as his work at Shell. He is the International Relations Chair of the SLA’s Division of Petroleum of Energy Resources. He is involved in two Dutch organisations for the information profession: NVB (the Dutch Library Association) and NIC Foundation (a group of senior librarians who focus on strategy and innovation). His publications and presentations are described as ‘refreshingly modern and incisive’. Clare Hart, president of Dow Jones Enterprise Media Group, will present the Award at the upcoming SLA Conference in Seattle. Dennie will make a presentation at the SLA Europe Summer Soiree in July and at International Online in December, both events held in London.
