Factiva Reader update

Following our coverage (VIP-55) of Dow Jones Factivaâs http://www.factiva.com use of widgets for news sharing and distribution we find more detail on enhancements to Factiva Reader http://www.istockanalyst.com/article/viewarticle+articleid_2273886~title_Dow-Jones-Factiva.html. The âwidgetâ helped users post business news onto portals, intranets and shared web sites, so that anyone with Factiva âcredentialsâ could read the full text of the articles, and adhere to copyright and other distribution requirements. In the same article I said that I did not have any information as to how usage of the âwidget-deliveredâ news would be tracked. Iâve now found that the product brochure states that customers will be able to see what users are reading http://www.factiva.com/collateral/files/factivareader_brochure_F-3788.pdf. Thus budget holders should be more confident than before that they will be able to see how the subscription is being used and whether is it generating the expected return on investment.
