Content (Articles, Reports and Webinars)

There's been a bumper crop of product reviews recently:

  • PharmaCircle got high marks for comprehensive content, powerful proprietary search and unique features in display and interlinking of content for optimum delivery
  • Boardroom Insiders is a niche product providing researched profiles of top executives at Fortune 500 companies

We have published a range of ideas and perspectives which are of critical importance in understanding the changing role of information in today's organisations:

  • For information professionals the opportunity in big data lies in identifying the right sources and content sets, rather than finding technicians who understand the software and systems

If you missed the webinar, "The Ins and Outs of Content Licensing", featuring Chris Broekhoff of MEI Global (a consulting firm that helps publishers license their content into databases), request access to the recording, which is currently being prepared and will be available shortly. Stay informed about future FreePint Webinars through the FreePint on Eventbrite page.

FreePint Subscription at the Professional level gives access to all FreePint Content (articles, reports and webinars).

Community

Last week I ran two in-person Communities of Practice sessions:

  • In Philadelphia, we had a lively discussion on "Determining, Discussing and Measuring Value". This was the first time I'd presented this material in this format, and I was delighted by the depth of the discussion amongst information managers from manufacturing, banking & finance, law, consulting and government. The same session will be run on 13th May 2014 in London and we're looking at additional cities as well
  • In Washington D.C., a full room had plenty to say about "Alternatives and Approaches to News Delivery". If you missed this session in any of the cities in which we've run it, consider attending the upcoming CoP call "Latest Updates on Changes in the Market for News Content" on 30th April 2014.

Finally, we had such a big response to our CoP call on "Law Firms, News Content and Technology" that I've added another session on 22nd April 2014.

FreePint Subscription at the Team level gives access to all FreePint Communities of Practice plus all FreePint Content (articles, reports and webinars).

Consulting

FreePint Subscription at the Enterprise level also includes a credit for up to six hours of consulting time per year, for example:

  • Several customers have asked us to run internal sessions on "Alternatives and Approaches to News Delivery", in order to have the right stakeholders participate fully in learning about and exploring potential solutions to their need for both news awareness and news-related research
  • A customer has asked us to produce a market map of PR and social media monitoring product providers, based in part on our recent coverage, comparing them against their own criteria.
