Content (Articles, Reports and Webinars)

With the launch of the FreePint Topic Series: What You Need to Know to Know Your Customer (KYC), we've begun publishing from a robust editorial plan of tips, Q&A articles, and product reviews relating to this essential element of regulatory compliance.

Find such articles as research results from Dow Jones, KPMG and Thomson Reuters, Q&As with RDC and Dow Jones, and an in-depth product review of Reg-Track. Still to come in this series are updates on key vendors covering this sector, tips on researching beneficial ownerships, and suggestions for when to DIY and when to outsource.

If you haven't yet done so, please register your interest in this series to hear directly from co-producers about what's coming and what's been published, as well as receive a free report on relevant resources you can use immediately.

A recent bespoke project to provide global researcher training on Sources, Technology and Value has spawned a new set of FreePint Webinars starting in September. The first will focus on your value to your organisation as an expert on sources. We'll be sharing tips on staying informed about sources, and how you can leverage this expertise to raise your visibility and value.

Sessions will be held at various times during the week commencing 8th September - check the FreePint on Eventbrite page for details.

Community

We concluded a second round of three teleconference Communities of Practice (CoP) on determining, discussing and measuring value, and our director of research recently delivered the in-person version of this CoP again in New York City, with additional in-person sessions coming in Boston and Amsterdam.

We also had a request recently to consider community-based research on how organisations manage knowledge about their vendors and products in their information portfolios. If you have tips to share or examples of ways to gather and extract insight from information about the vendors you work with, please contact our director of research, Robin Neidorf, at robin.neidorf@freepint.com. You can also submit anonymously via our contact form.

Consulting

With a global team to support, one accounting firm planned and executed a very successful "focus on training week", offering dozens of web-based training sessions on products, research techniques, and industry trends.

FreePint was honoured to participate, and delivered four sessions to help researchers stay informed, address client needs effectively, and communicate their strategic importance to the business as often and consistently as possible.

The feedback from these sessions was terrific: researchers appreciated the opportunity to understand their strategic value and develop new approaches to cementing it.
