As an information professional in the banking and finance industry, I'm always on the lookout for new sources and tips. FreePint helps me stay up to date.

Here's what has especially piqued my interest over the past six months:

Company Research

Company research tools are a cornerstone of any banking and finance professional's toolkit. Company databases are used for multiple functions, including credit risk assessment, identification of M&A targets, and corporate governance research on board members and executives.

Recently, Chris Porter outlined what aspects of company information are typically sought after in Company Information Providers Under FreePint's Scrutiny. In addition, the following recent in-depth reviews from multiple FreePint authors offer profiles of company intelligence sources:

Industry Research

Industry profiles and intelligence are also must-haves for most banking and finance professionals.

Industry research can be notoriously expensive, so I always look for a FreePint review before purchasing a new source and Sophie Alexander's recent analysis of four key Pay As You Go market research providers is a useful round-up.

Even better are free or low-cost sources, but they can be hard to locate. FreePint's recent My Favourite Tipples from Chris Porter and Andrew Lucas provide great leads to such sources and useful tips:

Compliance

Last but not least, compliance and investigation are always on the minds of banking and finance professionals.

FreePint offers excellent coverage in this area, so readers should not miss the current FreePint Topic Series: What You Need to Know Your Customer (KYC), as well as the recent article Regulatory Compliance - Relevant FreePint Resources.
