Here at FreePint, we are very aware that our in-depth product reviews are one of the most valued parts of the Subscription.

Our research and editorial teams are constantly working with our Subscribers and writers to make ongoing enhancements to our product reviews.

Some of the latest enhancements include:

  • Ensuring that the Value element of the review is included in the first section published, with the company and product background, so that readers can get an immediate flavour of the company such as longevity or awards won, examples of user job titles or departments, geographical deployment, and the tangible and intangible benefits customers could get from purchasing the tool
  • Product enhancements since the last review (improvement suggested by reviewer Dale Moore)
  • More specifics about the sources of input which the vendor uses to get their data, for example is it licensed, scraped, original research, generated through computer algorithm...

We'll also be including a section which looks at what happens when you change supplier. This is directly driven by comments made during our Communities of Practice events. Changing supplier is a concern for many information users, particularly when they've invested a lot of time and effort integrating the solution with their own sources and tailoring the tool to meet their exact needs.

We'd love to hear from you with any suggestions you have to make our product reviews even better suited to your needs and an even more integral part of your purchasing decision. Please contact our director of research, Robin Neidorf, with your suggestions - or complete our contact form.
