Editorial

Robin NeidorfOne of the exciting elements of directing FreePint's research efforts is that there's always a new project under way, as well as fresh results to discuss.

As part of the current Topic Series, "Best Practices in Information Skills Development", we've just launched a survey on organisational strategies and tactics relating to professional development around information skills. Read more about the project here, and then take 10 minutes to complete the survey. (If you provide a valid email address at the end of the survey, you'll receive a copy of the report upon publication.)

While data collection for that project is under way, we'll be busy disseminating and discussing the results published in the recent FreePint Report: Research into Visibility 2015, which was the central research for the last Topic Series, "Making Information Visible".

I'll be presenting these results, along with other observations gathered through the series, through different forums in the coming months:

If you are part of a group that would benefit from a facilitated research-based discussion on the variables involved in helping users see the right information at the point of need, contact me at robin.neidorf@freepint.com - we're eager to share and discuss what we've learned and how it can help you influence information strategy in your organisation for the better.
