Andrew Lucas reports on a recent data science technology conference held in London by computational software company Wolfram. The conference demonstrated the central part that mathematics plays in understanding big data and conveyed the importance of maths in modern society and why improved knowledge of data science, maths and coding applies equally to professionals working in the information-driven business and other organisations.
