Elsevier, provider of scientific, medical and technical information, released an upgrade to its text-mining solution illumin8. This product is part of Elsevier's information retrieval tools portfolio to enable researchers to extract actionable intelligence from the Elsevier databases. illumin8 is a web-based semantic text-mining solution which enables information professionals to process complex R&D resarch projects. Users do not have to deal with complex search algorithyms but simply use phrases which the software turns into relevant research results.
