The August issue of VIP includes the executive summary of the VIP Report: Product Review of SkyMinder Skyminder's core offering is access to a large number of providers of credit information, worldwide. SkyMinder claims that it can potentially cover any company, in any country, and can provide information on more than 50 million companies in 230 countries. SkyMinder’s content is largely from third parties, some of which are well known international credit information providers. SkyMinder aggregates access to this information using both international and some very local providers. Their literature lists over 50 information sources. Easy to search SkyMinder is suitable for both end users and experienced information professionals. As well as credit information the service includes useful investment reports and company profiles, marketing lists and a news section, which, while a useful adjunct to the main event of company and credit information, would not replace any of the major news aggregators. The real strength of SkyMinder is the comprehensiveness of its credit information, which is providing a really useful single source of company information from countries where data can be difficult to find, as well as aggregating the various suppliers of credit information in the developed world, without having to hold a separate subscription to each one. The preformatted company profiles offer a quick overview of a company in an easy to read format.
