Finally, if you're challenged to make your case for information services to the senior leadership of your organisation, you won't want to miss the upcoming FreePint Webinar: Convincing the C-Suite... and Getting Their Attention in the First Place (24th or 25th November). Community

It's a busy period for Communities of Practice. Next week, we're offering The Value of News, for Awareness and Research in New York, a session we first offered in October in London.

If you can't make it to New York, the same content will be covered in two teleconference sessions:

We also delivered the popular "Determining, Discussing and Measuring Value" in Chicago and Amsterdam recently, which one participant described as "inspirational".

Also coming in New York is Visibility and Value to End Users, a unique discussion bringing together information managers and content vendors to share insights on mutual concerns about end users. Buyer-seller sessions are a unique opportunity for forthright dialogue in a research-based, confidential environment. Please consider making time for this session if you'll be in New York on 10th November.

Consulting

A recent consulting request asks FreePint Research to support the development of a new business model around global contract management for a multinational company. Over the past few years, this organisation, like many, has moved content licensing to a procurement department. Now, its leaders find that procurement staff need further support and expertise in the nitty-gritty of licensing terms to ensure the right scope of usage.

We'll be conducting peer review of the operational plan and conducting some benchmarking research with comparable organisations to support the transition.
