Data analytics - ready your information serviceLibInsight is a new tool from Springshare LLC that's worth researching. Jinfo reviewer Sophie Alexander describes LibInsight as "a big data tool for libraries that allows them to record, track, and analyse library data".

First off, LibInsight sounds like a fantastic way to multitask simply because it allows you to use a cloud-based solution to import and analyse your data. There's the added advantage of having sharp visualisation and analysis outputs too.

Sophie writes, "Data could include statistics from ejournals and ebook usage, interlibrary loan statistics, circulation and gate count statistics, Google analytics statistics to track website hits, as well as statistics from Springshare tools such as LibGuides, LibAnswers, and LibCal."

Choose the right version

Springshare, an internet software company serving almost 5,000 libraries in 78 countries, has produced two versions of LibInsight - LibInsight and LibInsight Lite - read the review to find out how they differ and which one might be more suited to your needs.
