Abstract
Businesses and organisations are constantly looking for the next thing that can give them a competitive edge, whether financially or operationally, and most are now turning to data analytics to give them that edge. Information professionals have been helping their users find and make sense of information for centuries and clearly have the skills needed for these types of projects. This article looks at what skills information professionals can contribute to data analytics projects, where these skills can be used and, more importantly, how to showcase them to others.
