Abstract
Find out how you can take part in our survey on developing an information-savvy workforce & get the results as a thank you.
Item
Take 10 minutes to complete the survey associated with our current Research Focus, "Developing an information-savvy workforce through strategic alignments".
Some of the concepts we're exploring in this project include:
- Business leaders' awareness of the importance of information skills
- Leveraging opportunities like employee onboarding and promotions to assess and improve information skills
- Roles and relationships of areas like HR, IT, and business units to identify and build needed information skills.
Since announcing the survey last week, it has collected a few dozen responses. Whilst much of the initial data looks grim (I don't even need a whole hand to count the number of respondents who report a proactive strategy around information skill development...) I am heartened to see where many respondents expect to focus in 2017: advising, partnering and assessing on baseline information skills.
Throughout this Research Focus, we're producing case studies, guidance and best practices on amplifying your call for greater information skills amongst all workers through alignment with other parts of the business. Learn more about this Research Focus, and add your own perspectives to the survey now.
