One of the most enjoyable parts of my role as Head of Content and Community at Jinfo is looking back over the month and getting a new wave of excitement about what we've made available to our Subscribers. This blog post gives me an opportunity to share that excitement, as well as to pick out some items you may have missed.

Our Content and Community are driven by our research, customer comments and queries, as well as insights from attendance at conferences and events.

  • Article: Case studies are always of interest but hard to come by. So I was delighted when Dominic Judge, senior legal innovation manager at DLA Piper, agreed to talk to us about their use of Kira to bring machine learning to their contract review process. Dominic shared insights with us on areas from stakeholder involvement in choosing Kira to measuring how accurate the system is compared to the previous manual methods.

Read "DLA Piper - using Kira in a legal firm project" to find out more about how this global law firm is using Kira to create efficiencies in its contract review process and why Dominic says Kira "will become a standard part of the lawyer's toolkit in the next couple of years".
  • Report: Organisations of all sizes and staff in many departments are being impacted by artificial intelligence and data analytics but how many companies can say they have all the skills they need in those areas? Our "Market landscape - training for AI and data analytics" highlights some of the online courses that are particularly relevant to information professionals who need to ensure they or their team have the skills and language to talk knowledgeably in areas from big data to data mining, machine learning and intelligent bots.
  • Webinar: Our regular programme of webinars offers superb at-your-desk, at-your-convenience learning and an alternative way to absorb information or get up to speed on an issue. These 60-minute sessions are available live or to view post-session at your leisure.

We also run regular articles to capture the key learning points from the webinars for those who prefer a written approach; the associated article will always appear below the webinar listing as a "related Subscription article".

The November session "The impact of shrinking spend on premium databases" built on our recent research into current awareness and the previous 10 years of our research into news provision to look at how organisations can evaluate and identify key premium and other news sources to best meet user needs.

  • Community session: Our live, confidential facilitated Community sessions tackle topics from strategic planning to enhancing departmental skills. See our upcoming sessions here

In November one of the sessions tackled "Will you use a news service in 3 years?", providing attendees with the opportunity for open discussions on this essential topic. If you're not yet a Community subscriber and would like a taster invitation, do contact me
