Abstract

If you're a regular user of Twitter, you may have noticed that the timeline on the Twitter web application now includes a vertical blue line that has been designed to "connect conversations" between users. This update to Twitter has proved to be contentious with many users complaining that the blue vertical line makes timelines look weird, messy and that they're seeing many more conversations in Twitter. So what value does the new Twitter conversation update provide?
