Teleconference, for information managers (buyers), aimed especially at those who work in government agencies, quasi-government agencies or public interest groups

As we have worked closely with information managers in government agencies or similar organisations, we find that they frequently share a special set of challenges, particularly around stakeholder management and working effectively through bureaucratic systems.

Some of the most common challenges include:

  • Influence of politics and other external characteristics on purchase, staffing and reporting decisions
  • Reporting requirements unrelated to the scope of work at hand
  • Unique set of stakeholders, with requirements very different to those in otherwise similar organisations (such as banking or professional services)
  • Amongst the most inflexible budgets of those in our industry.

Join this facilitated discussion with other information managers at similar organisations. We'll dig into these challenges in more detail, discuss some strategies for leveraging the influence you have and for minimising frustrations.
