Can you describe the information team that has "the right stuff"? Can you build it, train it and nurture it into an uncertain future?

In 2015, Jinfo conducted research on "Best Practices in Information Skills Development". During and after that project, we worked with many organisations that were actively rethinking and shaping their information teams to more closely align with current and future needs. 

As a result, we've been able to document what "the right stuff" looks like for robust and effective information teams. Of course, every environment has unique requirements, but there are consistencies that we as leaders need to explicitly build into our strategy, recruitment and development plans.

Essential Skills for Information Services 

This session will provide a forum for discussion on the changing nature of information services, delivery mechanisms, skills and work environments, and how all of these contribute to the kinds of skills you need on your team - now and in the future.

We'll work through a team inventory which you can adapt to use in your own environment, and we'll also lay out the basics of a strategic development plan should you discover critical gaps in your team's skillset.

Community sessions are open to any organisation with a Jinfo Subscription at the Community level or higher. When your registration is approved, you will receive details to login to the teleconference.
