Source Expertise - What It Means in a Google WorldAn exciting new Research Focus has just started: "Source Expertise - What It Means in a Google World" - and I'm certain that you will find the articles in the coming months very interesting. From what I hear from users and the authors of some of the articles for the Focus, this topic is constantly causing concern but also presenting some great opportunities if you manage the challenges in your own favour.

We have already published a number of items:

  • We've also published a Q&A with EBSCO which, amongst other things, covers potential technological challenges and trends that are likely to impact their services over the coming years

Watch out for the webinars that are coming up and book your place to reserve your seat:

  • 24th May: "Balancing 'Generalist' and 'Specialist' Expertise" will be about the balance between being a generalist and specialising in a specific industry. This has been a recurring topic in the teams I have worked with through my entire work life and is even more relevant today than ever.

Articles and reviews coming soon in the Focus:

Plenty of other articles and items are waiting in line to be published already in the coming weeks such as an article about introducing consultants to information research, which will give you a structure and hopefully some inspiration for future training of non-information professionals.
