Research

Original research underpins every Research Focus we undertake here at Jinfo, and I'm excited to announce the launch of our current survey, "Data analytics needs and concerns". This will underpin our upcoming Research Focus, "Stake your claim in the success of data analytics", launching in January.

Please do take 15 minutes to complete the survey - your responses are essential to help us build up a picture of structure, skills and data licensing requirements for analytics projects.

Your input is anonymous, but if you provide an email address at the end of the survey, we'll send you a copy of the summary report upon publication in December.

Use it or lose it?

Do you have year-end budget you need to use wisely or risk losing for next year?

Consider these options - we'll happily talk you through any of them or invite you to a taster webinar or Community session:

  1. Adding Community access to your Jinfo Subscription (pro-rated to your expiration)
  2. Setting up a Jinfo Consulting assessment, and getting research-based recommendations for development work in 2018
  3. Pre-paying a number of Consulting hours to apply towards your project of choice in the coming months.

If you don't yet have a Jinfo Subscription, start one now for immediate access to our research, product reviews, market landscapes and webinars.

"Define and manage value for current awareness"
Our Research Focus for October to December 2017

Read about the Research Focus: Define and manage value for current awareness Many, if not most, information services provide current awareness and newsletters of various kinds to their stakeholders. Many, if not most, of the services that do so have a difficult time documenting and justifying the value of the time and money they invest to do so.

Over the decade that Jinfo has studied news and current awareness, we have documented and predicted important shifts in available technology, user needs and sources.
