Beyond AggregationThe FreePint Topic Series: Beyond Aggregation launched in October and we are now halfway through this popular series.

The news aggregation market is a rapidly changing one. Readers who want to understand how providers see the future of news aggregation should look out for our Q&As this month with:

  • Acquire Media who provide the NewsEdge solution. As part of the series, we have also produced a Mini Review of NewsEdge.

  • Attensa: As part of the series, we also will be reviewing this interesting tool.

  • Comintelli: This company offers Knowledge XChanger, an aggregation tool focused on multinationals, last reviewed by FreePint in 2011. Sophie Alexander finds out more about this provider.

  • Dow Jones: In June this year, FreePint’s news editor, Tim Buckley Owen, reported on a key change to the news aggregation market: Dow Jones’ plans to consolidate its services including Factiva.com into one offering, subsequently known as DJX.

  • M-Brain: The company’s M-Adaptive aggregation tool was recently reviewed by Anne Lonergan. FreePint readers may be familiar with the company through its acquisition last year of Esmerk. We learn more about its plans.

  • Northern Light: Northern Light is a key aggregator which is currently promoting itself as an alternative for Factiva.com customers. We publish our product review of Northern Light's SinglePoint this month.

More Product Reviews

As well as the product reviews highlighted above, we have published a full review on Eureka.cc and Eureka.cc Analytik and will be publishing reviews on Westlaw Practitioner Insights and Nexis.com, last reviewed by FreePint in 2011. And we have Mini Reviews of FirstRain following our full review in 2012 and Silobreaker, again following our full review in 2012.
