Focus on Value Chain

Spotlight on strategy – it's all about the value of information

Robin Neidorf
Things are changing for Jinfo in 2022.

We work exclusively with organisations who are ready to work actively on information strategy with us.

Why? Because these are the results our clients report:

"My stakeholders finally understand what we do."

"It's transformational."

"This is the first time in five years we've had a strategy."

"I call it, 'charting our own destiny.'"

This is because when you are a Jinfo client, we:

  • Teach you to measure, communicate and improve the ROI of information
  • Give you the structure and accountability to optimise your operations and carve out the time for strategy
  • Show you best-practice and give you a platform for peer-group perspective
  • Provide you the vocabulary to educate your stakeholders on why information strategy matters
  • Give you the framework and the steps to get there, through our proven methodologies (Value Chain, Centre of Excellence, Strategic Content Portfolio Management).

... as well as making measurable progress on practical requirements, such as contract negotiations, budget planning, service re-engineering, and driving ROI.

Jinfo is a small organisation, and we have limited client capacity for 2022.

So, let's have a meeting now to discuss your vision and your challenges. We'll document an action plan, and if it hits the mark with you (and your stakeholders) then we'll agree on a price and get started.

Contact me today and let's work together on information strategy.

You know more than you think you do

Stephen PhillipsIt's easy to underestimate the depth of your own expertise. When you know your job and your industry inside out, you have to remind yourself that you have valuable insight your stakeholders need.

One recent client comment is typical of how information teams underestimate their knowledge, reach and influence. Following completion of a stakeholder mapping exercise, the client told us: "We didn't realise how many senior people we knew."

Like many information teams, this client is working to shift its relationship with senior stakeholders from service provider to expert adviser. To make that shift, relationships cultivated over years are pure gold.

I shared this client's comment with my colleagues at Jinfo. It turns out, "You know more than you think you do" is something we have frequently said to many information teams across every industry we've worked in.

In fact, Jinfo clients tell us that we provide them with the structure and accountability to document and assess their expertise, and then leverage it to make those relationship shifts, negotiate more effectively, and advocate for the necessary budget.

We believe that no one in your organisation is better equipped than you are to define and implement information strategy.

If you are ready to work on information strategy but are not sure you have the time or perspective to do it with confidence, let's talk.

Focus on Centre of Excellence

Take today's step towards your strategic vision

Susan GlecknerNearly every information manager I know would jump at the chance to work on becoming a Centre of Excellence. But every one would also immediately have the second thought:

"When are we going to have time for this?"

I know the feeling; I had it myself. But what I've seen with Jinfo clients is that small, manageable steps quickly add up to significant evolution.

You and your staff will always have many other tasks demanding your attention. Jinfo's guidance and support makes it possible to work on the overall strategy and structure while managing everything else on your plate.

We do this through:

  • Using proven activities and methodologies that get you from A to B efficiently
  • Walking you through your analysis of all those tasks to shine a spotlight on how you get pulled away from strategy and value-add
  • Optimising your day-to-day operations through streamlining, outsourcing, automating and pushing back or stopping some or all activities
  • Keeping you accountable to your own vision of the high-value, consultative and strategic contributions to the organisation you want to be making with your team.

During a recent Jinfo team meeting, one of us described Jinfo's mission as "knocking down the barriers to making progress on information strategy."

What's the thing that makes you say, "When we can free up time..."?

Whatever it is, it's a barrier we can help you dismantle. Tell me about it at, and let's get started.

Jinfo Testimonials
"Even though I have been doing this a long time, it is always helpful to engage in the Community sessions. It's helpful to validate what has or has not been successful for me personally. With this session in particular, the live role-play is invaluable. Sharing ideas is one thing, but seeing those ideas 'in practice' makes the difference. Body language, tone of voice, etc. sometimes can be just as impactful as the information itself in a negotiation."
