Jinfo Newsletter 468

6th April 2017

Research

Our latest Research Focus launches this week: "Developing an information-savvy workforce through strategic alignments" is running now through to June.

This Focus examines one of the toughest and most frustrating challenges facing information teams: how do you address the lack of information skills most workers bring to their jobs, and the attendant risks and missed opportunities? How do you raise visibility and support for the need to improve information skills across the entire workforce?

Request your free copy of our "Insights and Actions Report" to learn what you can do to address these challenges. Our primary findings offer practical ideas you can apply immediately to analyse your own environment and create a strategy for change:

  • Insight 1: Efforts to improve information skills in the workforce require the presence of three characteristics - but it's not unusual for one, two or all three to be missing from your training

  • Insight 2: You are likely already using one of the most effective resources for information skills development, but not yet maximising its potential

  • Insight 3: Strategic alignment with HR will make your efforts easier and more effective; a long-term strategy to create this alignment can start today.

Also included in the report is a thematic index to the resources produced as part of this project.

Throughout this Research Focus, we are offering several webinars and Community sessions - both require a full Jinfo account, so please enquire if you do not yet have one.
