As we start the new year I've been looking back at what we've published in 2017.

If you're new to Jinfo, the lists below will give a great flavour of what you could get access to as a Subscriber; if you're already a Jinfo Subscriber, just click on the hotlinks below to dive straight into the items.

Product reviews and overviews published in 2017

To classify as a mini review or product review for Jinfo, the write-up needs to follow our strict product review protocol and guidelines, including giving our researchers a full two weeks access so that they can thoroughly put the product through its paces. And our guidelines ensure that whether you're reading a review of Newsdesk or Nexis, you'll get our opinion on the same areas, from content sources to user interface, development roadmap and points for improvement.

A full product review is typically around 4,500 words and a mini review (for a less complex product or one where we're commenting more on recent enhancements), typically around 2,000 words; both contain screenshots to give a full flavour of the product.

Market landscapes

Our market landscapes offer a fantastic way to get up to speed quickly on products and vendors covering a particular source area or technology, or to get a snapshot into products and services offered by one vendor (such as IHS Markit).

These reports are particularly popular with information professionals considering changing product, evaluating their current provider against the competition or getting a feel for which products should be on their list to evaluate in-depth. We include hotlinks to Jinfo coverage, so you could jump from a market landscape direct to reading a full product review, Q&A with the vendor or other coverage.

Original research

Research is at the heart of Jinfo's editorial, events and consulting work. We carry out original research on a quarterly basis to form the bedrock of our Research Focus and carry out additional research as appropriate.

Insights and Actions

For every Research Focus we produce an "Insights and Actions" report. These include three key insights from our director of research, Robin Neidorf, plus recommended practical actions and an index to the research, articles, reviews and other items published as part of that Focus.

If you're not yet a Subscriber, don't miss out. Activate your access today to get these essential insights and time-savers.
